PediaMed Pharmaceuticals, conducting clinical trials of a therapy to treat the gastrointestinal dysfunction in autistic children, which may exacerbate the well-known behavioral isseus that are accompanied by autism. PediaMed tapped Makovsky to drive the right type of patient, meeting the criteria for trial inclusion, to its sites as quickly as possible.

Results

  • Major patient advocacy groups included news of the trial on websites
  • ANR generated over four million impressions, equivalent to a total US reach of 79%.
  • Trial sties that had not enrolled any pateints reported more than 20 familes calling in one day following release of news
  • Targeted message on trial inclusion criteria resulted in 50% of calls leading to enrollment
