Makovsky was engaged to expand the firm’s footprint in these practices beyond transaction and deal announcements in the legal trade press.

We concentrated on a short list of reporters in top tier publications, pitching them daily, offering Paul Hastings commentary on breaking news and headline making issues.  Limited access to the law firm’s spokespeople and a weekly interview quota required a particularly disciplined, intense approach.

Throughout the course of our relationship with the firm, we beat our weekly mandate with top-tier media interviews, resulting in many articles in target publications.  According to the 2008 American Lawyer survey, Paul Hastings is ranked 15th among the U.S. law firms, and is 20th in the world.
