At a gathering of prominent India executives and other dignitaries including Mr. Richard Rothman, Chief, U.S. Commercial Service from the U.S. Consulate in Mumbai, Makovsky + Company (www.makovsky.com/) president Ken Makovsky announced the formation of a strategic alliance with Concept Communication Ltd, India's leading independent communications agency.
Makovsky said, "With over US$4 billion of Indian FDI flowing into the United States annually, it is imperative that Indian companies adopt a pro-active approach to developing cohesive communications programs in both countries. This strategic alliance establishes true ground level collaboration between our firms. As part of the alliance, Concept plans to establish a dedicated "India Desk" in New York to manage the reputational and communications needs for both Indian multinational companies and US-based companies entering India.
The India Desk in New York is designed to work with:

- US companies seeking to enter India
- Indian companies, listed in the US or contemplating a US listing, seeking investor relations services
- Indian governmental programs such as the "Incredible India" campaign aimed at promoting collaboration with US businesses, trade and consumers
- Indian financial services providers seeking to tap the HNI of Indian origin in North America, including banks, mutual funds, global money transfer agents, insurance and brokerage firms
