Makovsky Adds Two to Digital Leadership Team

New York, NY – May 3, 2011 – Makovsky + Company today announced the addition of Reginald Christian and Daniel Scholz to its Digital Practice. They will serve as strategic counselors for clients in all practice areas at Makovsky: financial and professional services, health, technology and energy.  Makovsky + Company is a leading global independent public relations, investor relations and branding consultancy.

“Our clients realize that social media is an essential channel for managing brand interactions, and we are adding the firepower to get the job done,” said Timothy Kane, Executive Vice President and Digital Practice Director, Makovsky + Company. “The combination of agency experience, along with Reggie and Dan’s cutting-edge knowledge of the digital sphere, will enable us to strengthen the impact of our offering.”

As Vice President, Digital Creative Director, Christian will help Makovsky clients to translate their messaging strategies into branded digital experiences and platforms for conversation management. He will also lead social media policy development, standards and education for the firm.

Christian’s more than 20 years in communications include several years of client-side brand management at Time Warner Cable, as well as over 10 years of digital and traditional advertising at McCann, Atmosphere and DDB, where he developed campaigns for UPS, L’Oréal, MasterCard, Intel, Microsoft, Sprint, Motorola, Parker Pens and Citibank.

As Director of Digital Media, Scholz will counsel Makovsky clients on all things digital, from email design and website development to integrated social media platforms. With over 10 years of experience creating and managing digital properties on both the client and agency side, he has crafted programs for Casual Male Retail Group, Guardian Life Insurance Co., Russell Reynolds Associates, Covidien, The Actors Fund and The National Down Syndrome Society.
