Job Summary

The Director of Finance will oversee the accounting process and will play a key role in developing and implementing financial procedures to improve and maintain the financial health of our firm. This candidate will be a member of the operating committee and will influence policy in the firm.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Execute the financial strategy of the company
  • Prepare financial statements
  • Prepares/reviews/signs all client agreements and MSA’s as well as review and sign vendor contracts
  • Manage financial controls and accounting procedures
  • Manage the KROW Time Reporting system
  • Provide advice on how to increase revenue and reduce costs
  • Propose action plans to ensure that annual financial objectives are attained
  • Support the CEO with the preparation of monthly and annual financial plans as well as any adhoc and special requests
  • Maintain speed and accuracy of billings and client payments
  • Coordinate and produce all tax documentation as required
  • Reporting to the director is the Accounting Associate, IT Director and Facilities Manager

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field (MBA preferred)
  • Professional accounting designation (CA, CMA or CPA)
  • 10+ years experience in a senior financial managerial position in a professional services organization, preferably in Public Relations or Advertising
  • Advanced computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office, Google Suite, Quickbooks, KROW Time Reporting System and some level of knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics SL financial reporting software as the company migrates away from that system
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Results-oriented, strategic thinker and planner
