Account Executive / Assistant Account Executive


Makovsky, one of the world’s leading integrated communications firms, is currently seeking an AE/AAE to work in a great team environment to support public relations, social media and issues management programs developed for our clients within our Financial + Professional Services and Health practices.

Responsibilities include:

  • Crafts, pitches and places positive stories by and about clients in national, trade and local media, when appropriate.
  • Develops and fosters relationships with clients and external audiences; ongoing representation of clients to media, influencers and analysts.
  • Manages client social media programs.
  • Creates communications materials (e.g. Q&As, press releases, issues briefs, backgrounders, bylined articles, etc.)
  • Researches, develops, implements, and manages day-to-day client activities and deadlines.
  • Manages logistics of client events.
  • Contributes to program development for clients and new business proposals.

Professional Background and Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree; 1+ years of experience in public relations, public affairs and/or media relations (including internships).
