BUILDING INVESTOR CONFIDENCE IN TURNAROUND
O’Charley’s
Faced with operational problems and increasingly impatient shareholder activists, this multi-concept restaurant company hired us to help generate acceptance of its turnaround plan and preserve its independence. Our action plan — executed under the rubric “Not Business as Usual at O’Charley’s” — focused on the big picture, while providing yardsticks by which the market could gauge progress. All our chief goals were met. In early 2006, O’Charley’s stock neared its 52-week high, achieving greater volume, with institutional ownership diversified, sell-side coverage reinvigorated and hedge fund influence reduced.
