We helped PixelOptics launch a new category in vision technology and build a national sales network for its emPower! electronic focusing eyewear with potential to replace progressive lenses. Despite all the hype at the Consumer Electronics Show over 3D and tablet devices, PixelOptics was named one of CNBC’s “Must Have” gadgets of CES, and PC Magazine’s “Best of CES." We drove more than 150 articles and broadcast segments, resulting in more than 300 million media impressions, a number that soared to 500 million by year-end. More importantly, nearly 2,000 eye-care practitioners and 14 of the most advanced optical labs partnered with PixelOptics to create a national sales network. In addition, the company finalized a $90 million commitment in venture capital financing.
