The Makovsky health practice was charged by Kos Pharmaceuticals with a mission to get Medicare Part D coverage for Niaspan, its prescription niacin product that addresses low HDL cholesterol, after it had not been included on the Part D national formulary.  As coordinating agency in charge of three Washington, D.C. based law firms, another PR firm and advocacy outreach efforts, the Makovsky team helped reverse the decision – considered an almost impossible task.
